Fall 2025 Pack Campout
Pack 673 had a great fall campout at Bears Den in Bluemont, Virginia over the weekend of October 25-26. It was chilly, but we were kept warm with a roaring campfire and delicious food prepared in part by the Scouts!

Our Mission
At Great Falls Pack 673, we are dedicated to fostering a spirit of adventure and camaraderie among youth. Our organization is committed to developing young leaders who are equipped with the skills they need to succeed in life. Through a variety of activities and programs, we focus on building confidence, teamwork, and respect for nature and the community. We aim to create memorable experiences that not only educate but also inspire lifelong friendships and a passion for service. Whether through outdoor adventures or community service projects, we strive to unlock every individual's potential, preparing them for a brighter future.
What activities does Pack 673 do?

Camping!
Pack 673 hosts a fall campout and a spring campout, open to all cub scouts and their parent or guardian. Our campouts are usually over a Saturday and Sunday period, and are usually about an hour's drive away. Hiking, building campfires, building friendships, and... yes, eating s'mores... are all essential parts of our campouts.

Den meetings
Each grade level meets as a den, and dens typically meet once or twice a month in the Great Falls area. Den leaders have flexibility over where and when the dens meet. In den meetings, each group works on required and elective adventures to earn their rank. The ranks are Lions (K), Tigers (1st), Wolves (2nd), Bears (3rd), Webelos (4th) and Arrow of Light (5th).

Service projects
Pack 673 gets involved in all kinds of service projects. From cleaning up our neighborhood parks to collecting food for the annual Scouting for Food drive, the Cub Scouts of Pack 673 understand the importance of service to our community.

Special adventures
Our dens get up to some very special adventures. Recent outings have included a trip to the fire station, a tour of the Pentagon, and more. Who knows what awaits!

Pack 673 also does Pinewood Derby in the spring, and the Blue and Gold Banquet to celebrate each great year.
Take me to your leader
Pack 673 is very lucky to have dedicated volunteer leaders that help make everything a success. Like all Cub Scout packs, the leaders of Pack 673 are volunteers. Please say thanks to them for helping to make this a great scout experience for all. Or better yet, join us!
